• Complete any allocated Heinemann Active Maths games within Bug Club.
• All pupils need to know the name and be able to identify and discuss the properties of the following 2D and 3D shapes. Look for these shapes around you and see if pupils can tell you about corners (vertices), edges and faces?
  2D – circle, triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon
  3D – sphere, cylinder, cone, pyramid, triangular prism, cube, cuboid

RED/BLUE/GREEN SPELLING GROUPS – NEW FORMAT

• Use your alphabet and joined phonemes flashcards to make the following words.

  beat
  heat
  mean
  team
• Look for your common words for this week in a story book of your choice – eat, as, has.

YELLOW SPELLING GROUP

• Use your alphabet cards to make short 3 letter words – you could try jet, jam, van, vet and make up some more of your own. Be sure that they are real words.

Below are the PE days for each Primary 2 class. Please send in your child with suitable footwear and clothing for indoor gym. In line with East Ayrshire’s guidance no jewellery is permitted during P.E lessons.

P1 had a great day celebrating our hard work throughout the year with our Teddy Bear’s Picnic!

We have made lots of Teddy crafts, went on a Bear Hunt to find the Gruffalo and finished with a picnic and dancing!

Miss Adam, Mrs Cree, Mrs Klein and Mrs McKie are so proud of all the children and have created a special surprise that will land in your Learning Journals on Wednesday morning- if you need the log in resent, please get in touch!

Termly Overview – P1 Term 3

We know you are really enjoying reading your books at home. Remember you can read to your teddies, you can share the book with a grown up, you can record yourself reading. Play I spy games with the book – look for words or letters you know. Make it fun!

Please remember to bring the book back on a Wednesday so you can get the next one!

The Make it Happen App competition was announced today. Well done to everybody who designed their own App!!

P1K have been enjoying spending time at the school library on a Friday afternoon.  Books can be taken home to enjoy and returned to school the following Friday.  Happy reading!
