Hopefully the weather will hold out and we look forward to welcoming families on Tuesday.

Tomorrow (13/5) the P2s will visit the park, we are leaving at 9.30am and will return for lunch. Please remember a snack in a labelled bag, non fizzy drink and suitable clothing.

This week we will be staying in the playground. Can we please ask, as the weather begins to improve, children bring trainers to school everyday as we will be making the most of the outdoors and practising for our Sports Day.

We are looking forward to seeing you all in the morning, hopefully everyone has had a lovely break!

On Wednesday this week we are celebrating our PATHS award, more information to follow.

For outdoor learning we are hoping to visit The Foxes (woods behind the school) to collect natural resources to create sculptures. We haven’t been very lucky with the weather recently so please make sure children have a change of shoes (preferably wellies) and extra clothes.

Finally can we ask if you have not made an appointment for our parent/guardian meetings that you do so asap.

This week we will be in the playground for outdoor learning, hopefully next week it will stop raining and we can go a little further.

WORLD BOOK DAY – THURSDAY 7 MARCH 2024

As it is World Book Day on Thursday there will be no need to bring in extra clothing for outdoor learning.

Tuesday 27th – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (P5 Show)

Thursday 29th – We are celebrating achieving the Gold Sports Award with a special assembly and our outdoor learning will have a sporty theme. There is no need for wellies as we will be in the playground.

Hopefully the weather is kind to us this week. Our learning will take place in the playground on Thursday so welly boots will not be required but please remember to wrap up warm.

We had great fun on our BIG Bird Watch last week but it was very muddy.

This week we plan to visit the woods once again to build dens and have a campfire. Please make sure your child has suitable shoes and a warm jacket.

We do have some wellies in school but last week we struggled to find a pair for everyone. If your child has wellies they have outgrown we would greatly appreciate any donations.

Thank you to all who are learning our poems – we are holding class competitions on Monday 5th February.

We are hopeful that outdoor learning will take place this week but it will be weather dependant.
