Homework 13th May

Your homework words are in your jotter. This week you have a choice

  • Write sentences for each of your words
  • Write a story which includes all of your words
  • Look back over the spelling grids from last term and choose 2 of your favourite activities.

We are looking at Fractions in class just now. So far we have been talking about halves and quarters. With the help of an adult have a think about some of these fun ideas to find fractions

  • Pizza time – cut a pizza into equal parts – can you find a half and then a quarter?
  • Cut fruit like apples or oranges into equal parts to show halves and quarters
  • Cut toast/sandwiches into equal parts to find halves and quarters
  • Have a go at some of your own ideas. How can you look for fractions in the house?

Tell us about what you did.
