This week we are asking you to learn and put the finishing touches to your chosen scottish poem. Our class competition will be on Thursday. Here a few tips to remember –

• Stand up tall and straight
• Head up – don’t look at the floor
• Use expression in your voice – it will make your poem sound so much more interesting.
• Say the title of the poem and the poet before you start
• Use actions and feel free to bring in props

Focus on your 3 and 4 times tables this week – write them out neatly in your jotter.

Remember to keep going with the games you  have been playing, Hit the Button and Coconut Multiples.

We are having our annual Scottish Poetry competition very soon, the class winners will be announced on 6th February.

You have chosen your poem in class and a copy of it is in your bag. Here are all the poems in case you should need them.

Please learn your poems at home. Remember to use your voice to make it sound interesting. You can also use actions and props if you like.

 

 

 

 

Happy New Year and welcome back to our new term.

This term we are using activity grids for you to pick and choose from.

There are lots of activities to choose from, there may be some which you are not able to do so please don’t worry. You may repeat the activities if you find some that you like.

We are asking you to complete 2 activities from the grid each week  using your spelling words which will be in your jotter, please write these words out two times at home. Then complete the 2 activities of your choice.

Remember to log into your Bug Club account to explore your activities and books.

Keep learning your times tables. So far we have been learning the 2x 5x and 10x tables. You can have a go at the other tables too. Ask someone to quiz you and see how many you get right!
