Make Code
“This is an introduction to coding and computer science by way of making and design, … It is a project-based curriculum with a maker philosophy at its core; the idea is that by making physical objects, students create a context for learning the coding and computer science concepts.” The course takes approximately 14 weeks to complete and uses Micro:bits. Is also useful for teachers who want to upskill themselves.

Barefoot supports primary educators with the confidence, knowledge, skills and resources to teach computer science. Resources aligned to the curricular for all UK nations. This includes FREE high-quality lesson plans and local CPD Workshops, all designed to help teachers gain confidence in bringing computer science to life in the classroom. An excellent resource to support all levels of CfE. Great, easy to follow suggestions for classroom activities.

Organised by Code.org, the annual Hour of Code campaign has engaged 10% of all students in the world. Free access to a vast range of high interest standalone activities for all ages. Promoted during Computer Science Education Week, but available all year round. Beyond Hour of Code allows you to access extended courses of study and links to materials from providers.
