Have I Been Pwned? 
“Have I been pwned? is a free resource for anyone to quickly assess if they may have been put at risk due to an online account of theirs having been compromised or “pwned” in a data breach.” This site allows you to check your email addresses, passwords and domains to see if you have been compromised. It also provides data on which sites have been ‘pwned’, and information about the type of data which was made public. Access the website here.

Created by CEOP and Parent Zone, this site covers a range of different issues parents may wish to discuss with their children including Digital. While it is mainly written for parents it is still a useful source for teachers wanting to keep up-to-date with the latest information about risks to children in the digital world. 5Rights 
“5Rights takes the existing rights of children and young people (under 18), and articulates them for the digital world. Signatories to the 5Rights framework believe that young people should be supported to access digital technologies creatively, knowledgeably and fearlessly.” Access their website here.
Young Scot – 5Rights Youth Commision
The 5Rights Youth Commission, is a group of 18 young people, aged 14-21, from all over Scotland. Supported by Young Scot, the Scottish Government and 5Rights, they are investigating many parts of the online world and their rights there as young people. Access it here.

360° Safe
On online tool which allows you to rate your school against a number of e-safety criteria. By meeting the criteria schools can receive accreditation for e-safety. Access it here.
Passwords
It is important that all pupils, but especially in the upper years, understand the importance of using robust passwords and keeping them secret. You can access some good articles on how to set secure passwords here, here or here. Another useful site is How Secure Is My Password. Here you can type in a password and it will tell you how long it might take a compute to hack it. Try it – the results might surprise (read: scare!) you.
UK Safer Internet Centre
A very useful site where you can find e-safety tips, advice and resources to help children and young people stay safe online. They also run an annual Safer Interday Day in February. Access it here.
NSPCC
NSPCC have teamed up with O2 to help keep children safe when they’re using the internet, social networks, apps, games and more. Support for parents as well as teaching resources for schools. Access it here.
Childnet International
A UK charity which offers a wide range of resources for schools and parents. They also offer the Childnet Digital Leaders Programme which aims to empower children and young people to champion digital citizenship and digital creativity within their schools and to educate their peers, parents and teachers about staying safe online.
