Xpressions App for Parents

The school are continuing to improve communication, using technology to support this. Text messages have been very popular; and further feedback is very welcome!

We have begun to send emails – again feedback is very welcome!

We would like to improve how text messages and emails are managed, and we would like parents to download the Xpressions App (FREE) to support this.

The Parent Council have arranged a DROP-IN session on Wednesday 25th January 2017, from 4-5pm. Please come along if you need any advice or further information in relation to installing the Xpressions App.

A how-to help sheet is attached below; this will explain how to download this Free App.

P4 took a trip to Tesco

Today, Tuesday 17th January, Primary 4 went on a trip to Tesco.  It was a wonderful experience. We got to taste different types of milk and cheese, found where different milks are kept in the store and also got to make healthy, smiley face snacks.  We learned some fun facts too like how many people work at Tesco and how many loaves they make a day.  It was a very interesting visit.  Thank you to Woodgrove Community transport for taking us, Anne and Fiona for leading all of the activities in Tesco and to Mrs Moore, Mrs Jardine and Miss Ashby for coming with us as helpers.

To finish off our day, we were given some goat’s milk and edam cheese to taste when we got back to class.  We also got a coconut to open up and find coconut milk, however that proved rather tricky!  Any tips would be mot welcome!

Nets Of 3D Shapes

We got paper  and a measuring tape and we measured the sides and the corners off a cylinder. Also  then we made our own with a partner. We really enjoyed making the cylinder.

I won a Into film reward

This week I won an into film reward for the best film review I got a goodie bag which had a Fantastic Mr Fox mask I also got a book Sleekit Mr Tod that’s the Scots version it is so cool. I have read 20 pages and its so exciting learning new words. There was also a little box of pens I liked what I got it was such a surprise that I won and not somebody else.

We have learned some of our Ukulele chords!

Primary Seven have been have been having music for the past two weeks. We are having a five week blog and we have only done two sessions and we all ready know some of our chords! Our music teacher has told us we will be learning some songs with our chords we learned! We have started to do a song called stitches By Shaun Mendes. We hope you enjoyed reading our blog!

P.E

At P.E last week we did a 16 minute workout. We had 8 sections and we did a 30 second workout at each one. It was hard work.

Gymnastics Competition!

We are in the gymnastics club that is held by Mrs Farrell. We are going to compete in the gymnastics competition at the David Keswick  Center witch is on the 27th of January 2017.We come to school at 4:00 till 5:00. We are very excited! We have beautiful leotards.  We are hoping for a good score. This club was open for P5,P6 and P7 but you had to audition. The people are Abigail, Skye who are in P5,Lousie,Dylan they are in P6 and last of all is P7 Ellie, Hannah , Mckenzie and Jamie. We all have floor routines and on the box/horse.
