This Tuesday, the school had a visit from the Mountain Rescue Team. Dave Macpheat and Dave Tyson who are both Mountain Rescue Volunteers talked about what they do when they are working. They came into our playground with a mountain rescue vehicle and they had three activities for each class to do. The first activity was to learn about how to carry the stretcher, the second activity was to make up word to tell the other group through the radio to see if they could figure it out. This is the phonetic alphabet! The third activity was to look though all of the equipment in the Mountain Rescue workers bags!
It was great fun! My favourite part of the day was getting carried on the stretcher!!!
We got a new basketball net!!! It is orange and white and very high up meaning it is perfect for people who like a challenge. It is very cool and in my personal opinion it will be a great piece of equipment for the school.
Even though it is very exciting it is a bit sad because we’re getting rid of the old basketball net but in reality it doesn’t have a net, wait doesn’t that make it a basketball hoop not net? Still very sad yet really exciting.
We were delighted for the sun to appear for Sports Day on Monday! We enjoyed a whole school game of kick ball, tug of war then lots of races! Thank you to all the parents who came along to support!
Well done to everyone who took part!
Today we are celebrating international day of play and Moniaive being awarded the gold right respecting schools award! Parent are coming into the school to do fun activities set up by the RRS group.
