Numicon

Today we got a Numicon set. It is so fun. The whole of P5-7 got involved :). It involved having these pieces of Numicon shapes and putting them on a peg board and the first one to get all the numicon shapes back in the right place wins.

Explosive Food

On Wednesday the 20th of February both classes enjoyed a fun filled day. The P1-4 class getting a visit in the morning and p5-7 in the afternoon. All students enjoyed a demonstration of how food goes through the digestive system & saw a lot of cool explosions. Four pupils from the little class commented “It was a lot of fun” The children also enjoyed the tin can explosion most out of the lot while big class students enjoyed the mento’s in lemonade explosion! All in all it was a great day & here are a few photos on the day. Just click the link to access.

Unifix Snake

P1 and P2 had fun in free time building this Unifix Snake that stretched the length of the classroom! Together we worked out how many cubes they had used by counting how many cubes in a metre, how many metres long it was and then multiplying. The trouble is this was last week and I’ve forgotten the answer! I’m hoping one of the pupils remembers and posts a reply! There was lots of great teamwork and cooperation. Well done P1 and P2!

Annan River Race

On Sunday I went to the Annan River Race (Hosted by my running club). We had to do 2 and a half miles of sprinting and I was so tired afterwards but really proud of myself. My number was 91 and I won a medal for it. We had to do a route of up hills through woods and along the river. I was in the under 13’s race and all of the other girls were in S1 I was the smallest of them all. An S1 was behind me and we raced to the sprint line. After we had finished I literally fell on the ground with exhaustion I had great fun doing the Race 🙂

Regional Burns Competition

On Saturday morning, pupils from P4-7 took part in the Regional Burns Competition. We all had so much fun. Most of us girls took part in the  singing class, also 3 of us took part in the recitation class and 1 of us in instrumental – we got all high scores. We all enjoyed this experience and would love to come back next year for more competition. In the P6-7 singing class there was 27 people competing but our school I think did all really really well! 🙂 . I liked how we were competing against  other  people and to see mums and dads was really fun because they got to hear the songs that we were doing and other people. It was fun listening to all the songs – we all really enjoyed it. Zara got first place and she sang  ‘O’ Whistle’. Here is a picture of Zara’s trophy and some of our medals and certificates!

He helped us lots with understanding how the Scottish parliament works & how they vote. A massive thanks to Oliver for answering our questions & coming in.Thank You
