Activities we have explored so far include outdoor learning for numeracy and IDL, we have been outside to investigate our senses and what happens to the body when each child does not have full use of all five senses, and the class has participated in the smoothie bike.

Welcome Back!
I hope everyone had a delightful break from school. Here in P5/6, we are looking forward to a term filled with active and outdoor learning to support all types of learners in our diverse classroom. Please find attached our Class Term 3 Newsletter.
P2/3 Newsletter Term 3
Chess Club in Primary 6
Fraser (P6) has been running a chess club every week on a Tuesday at break time. The purpose of this club is to help others learn the skill of playing chess. It also always pupils to develop their META skills, communicating, adapting, critical thinking, collaborating and focusing.







Art in Primary 6
Primary 6 has been studying the work of various artists since coming back from our Christmas holidays. Here is our current art display.

We will continue working on developing our art skills buy continuing to study the work of famous artists and local artists.
Primary 6 Displays
Primary 6 has been working hard since returning from their Christmas holidays. We have been busy learning about the Los Angeles Wildfires, The ban of TicTok in America, Robert Burns and his life, plus studying the art of various artists in time. Here are some photographs of our displays.



A busy term 2!










Mackay “I learned that the right lung is larger than the left one.”
Harry “I learned that there are different layers to your skin.”
Vincent “I leaned that a baby has more bones than an adult body. An adult has 206 bones.”
Sofia “I learned that your skin is an organ.”


Fergus “We wrote our own Senses poems about Winter.”


Maisie W “In our party, we played musical corners and the elimination card game.”
Harry “We also played other games like musical arms and the game where we chose Christmas tree, Christmas pudding or Santa actions.”

Lucy “I liked adding the actions for ‘Winter Wonderland’.”
Taylor “I enjoyed playing the triangle in ‘Winter Wonderland’.”
Ritchie “I felt confident speaking my part at the Christmas Show.”
Isla Ma “I was focusing to make sure I rang the bell at the right time during the song ‘Must be Santa’.”
Freddie “I liked singing the songs on stage.”

Smoothie Bike in Primary 6
Primary 6 were peddling hard on Thursday to make smoothies for everyone to drink. The smoothie drink is designed to teach pupils about alternative sources to electricity to make smoothies. The smoothies were worth it though.









Lantern Making in Primary 6
Primary 6 took part in The Big Burns Supper Lantern Making Workshop. It was fun and messy! We used lots of our STEM skills and META skills. Some of us took part in the parade and some went to watch. Here are some photographs of our afternoon making lanterns.












What has been happening in Primary 6?
Primary 6 have had a busy 3 weeks since coming back from the Christmas holidays. It really has been a case of ‘hitting the ground running’.
