P3 Forest Visit

On Friday 3rd November we went to Heathhall Forest with Briony from Sustrans.  We had a lovely morning in the Autumn sunshine!

We had to collect lots of different leaves, then we tried to organise them by size and type.  We also looked at the different leaves and worked out what trees they came from.

We were also lucky enough to see a white horse going for a walk through the forest!

Skills Academy

In Skills Academy this term we have learning all about how and where food is grown, local produce and how to prepare food in a hygienic and safe way.

The class also created a healthy and nutritious wrap for the school lunch menu.   To celebrate the end of this block, we prepared and ate wraps for snack.

  Impressive cutting and chopping skills!

Pupil Council

It has been a busy few weeks in Primary 3!

We had lots of applicants for this years Pupil Council…

The successful candidates were…

Eimear as Pupil Councillor and Alivia as Vice Pupil Councillor.

Well done to everyone who took part, we are so proud of you all!

A visit from the Community Safety Officer

Last week, we had a visit from Andrew Hay, one of our local Community Safety Officers.  He talked to us about playing our part to keep the community tidy and safe.   This involves recycling our rubbish, picking up our dog’s poo, not dropping litter and being respectful to each other within the community.

We also had a visit from Laura, the Gull Officer.  She told us about the 5 different breeds of gulls and that we should never feed them.
