P3/4 Viking Longhouses

We have been learning about the daily life of the Vikings. We researched what their houses were like and created models.

We worked together, shared ideas, chose our own materials to use, created, problem-solved and then gave a guided tour of each model.

Some us chose to apply our digital technology skills by creating our models using Lego Builder online.

We hope you enjoy watching our clips and learning what the Viking homes were like.

P3/4 Enterprise

Primary 3/4 pupils developed a range of skills for learning, life and work while running their own Enterprise. They shared ideas, listened and responded to others, reached agreements, used their creativity, planned, designed, evaluated, improved, problem-solved, worked independently and with others. They created persuasive posters, took responsibility for collecting and recording money received and were excited to deliver the Tartan Friends to their new homes. Fantastic skills everyone!

P3/4 Creating Magnetic Maze Games

Primary 3/4 applied their knowledge and skills to create their own magnetic maze games as part of Skills Academy. Pupils planned, designed, created, evaluated and improved their games as needed. Pupils demonstrated great communication skills, collaborative working, problem-solving and creativity. Well done everyone! Younger pupils enjoyed playing a selection of our magnetic maze games, commenting on how much fun they were!

P3/4 Skills Academy – Forces and Friction

Primary 3/4 investigated Forces and Friction as part of Skills Academy last term. They explored pushes and pulls, carried out an investigation about  how the incline of a ramp affects speed and distance and also learned about friction while carrying out their own investigation into how different surfaces affect the speed of a toy car. Great investigating everyone!
