NSPCC – Solution-focused Toolkit

The solution-focused practice toolkit provides inspiration for worksheets and activities to use, adapt or devise for the children and young people you work with.

Developed by practitioners from our Face to Face service, the toolkit is based on their experiences using a solution-focused approach. It’s available as one download or 11 printable sections covering different aspects of solution-focused practice.

Glasgow EP Service – Solution Orientated Approaches

Solution-Oriented Approaches are strengths-based and focus on identifying and using strengths to reach goals and overcome challenges. There is an emphasis on the importance of language and how we speak and listen to children and young people, acknowledging that they can be and should be included in finding their own solutions. Through conversation and discussion children and young people and their families are supported by professionals to recognise resources and skills and how these contribute and assist in achieving their goals.
