This year we recently started a new topic about our world. 🌍
It’s been very interesting so far we started naming and marking the 7 continents the 5 oceans and the countries inside those continents
Mrs Robertson asked us what we wanted to learn about and that we were going to start with the entire world then be more specific about Scotland and Dunscore. We’ve all had fun so far and really want to learn more like how different cultures live in ways that are different how we live in Scotland.
On Friday we had our first whole school STEAM Afternoon of the year. We were focusing on working as a team to make an accessible Paralympic podium.

We would like to wish everyone a wonderful Summer Holiday. We will reopen to pupils on Wednesday 21st August 2024.
We thought we would share the wonderful words of Mr Wright (Parent) as they are a fitting send off to our P7s.
During term 1, Emily helped us create a song to celebrate the school’s 60th Anniversary in it’s current building. Last week Emily and Claudia helped us record the song to share with everyone. We hope you like it!
Miss Atkins shared with us today that the money went to Mantchombe School.
They decided to spend the money on solar panels so that they can study at night time.
Today Louise from MOOL spoke to us during assembly about the work of MOOL within Dumfries and Galloway supporting refugees. This linked to our right of the month (Article 10/22 – Contact with Parents and Refugee Children). She was joined by Sarab and her son Naeem, who are refugees from Syria. Their stories were very thought proving and helps us understand what it’s like to be a refugee. A huge thank you to Louise, Sarab and Naeem for taking the time to visit us this morning and share their stories.
