Today some pupils from P5-7 took part in the Queen of the South Community Plate at Palmerston. There were 8 schools competing and our team won!
Ben, Jack, Reuben, Cameron, Finlay, Isak, Joesph and Jamie played very well throughout the rounds and then went into the semi-final. This went to penalties, which was very exciting and we got through to the final and won 1-0.
We want to say a huge thank you to Colin, our coach and Mr Carter for his support today.
This was a new competition held by Queen of the South and so we are very lucky to be the first name engraved on the plate! This plate will be kept at Palmerston in their trophy cabinet. We were given a trophy to keep in the school.
P5/6/7 have been given Salmon eggs by the Nithdale River Trust, we were excited. The whole Class have watched them hatch into some baby salmon on the 2nd week of having them. The white things on the filter are the empty eggs that have hatched by Ella /Harley
Whilst we were going to Kielder Forest on holiday I stopped by the Rock UK with my family. We saw a zip line down from a big hill and the lodges. It looked great!
This week is amazing maths week. Our teachers gave us a couple of questions. I only got one question done! We also got a PowerPoint Quiz it was amazing.
This term p5-7 went on a class trip to to the cosmic gardens of speculation. We had a great time doing team activities all day and seeing all the cool and slightly peculiar. We found out so much from our guide Wendy. She was very helpful and we saw the snail mound, the bumpy hill and the bridge to nowhere. We saw a lot more and then we went back home.
