In the woods the children play,

in the sunshine of mid – may

Rushing rivers, blowing trees

building dens and bridges please

That’s the most that I can say,

about the wonders of the woods today.

Today we were in the woods and made dens out of sticks and stones.  Some of the school played hide and seek and some people got very muddy! We also identified some plants with Miss Dale one of the young trees was called a Yew.

Yesterday we watched an animation called Alien Attack? We made comic strips and a story out of it.

Early er today we where in the wood and we played hide and seek Becky was the seeker she found almost every one apart from Logan/me. we where playing hide and seek up until lunchtime after the first round Becky was no longer seeking she was hiding Becky one the round of hide and seek

Quick reminder about Monday last week we where picked for a viking show and my/Becky’s teacher Mrs miller thought we were going to a concert but we where performing in sted 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😊 😁

Duncow Primary School’s P4-7s have been invited to a Scottish opera on Monday with a show called Vikings. There are Sorcerers, Vikings, Villagers, a queen, a farmer and a sorcerer supreme. We are the sorcerers, we are meant to be villains but we become good in the end. There are six different songs,  Prepare, When you’re a viking, Defenders of the earth, We have the power, Dragon attack and Vikings forever.  Prepare is all groups, When you’re a Viking is only the Vikings, Defenders of the earth is only the Villagers, We have the power is only the sorcerers, dragon attack is all groups and Vikings forever is all groups. We will be going on stage on Monday 3rd of June 2024. I am very excited and also a little bit nervous but I hope all goes well. If you would like to come it is at the Bridge at 2:15pm.

I am learning my 10 times in maths i know my 1,2,5,10 times table i can count to 100 my favret  thing in maths is USING BUGS (FAKE) FOR COUNTING

I CAN SING THE ENTIRE ALPHABET 🙂

In my Jolly Phonics (My Spelling), I have been learning the letters: s, a, t, i, p, n. This is set 1 of my Jolly Phonics.

In Maths I am learning my 2x, 5x, and 10x times Tables AND I can count up to 22!

I can sing the ENTIRE alphabet!!!

 

Today in the woods I put my hand in mud. It felt chocolately!

I painted with my muddy hands.

I did a muddy hi – five with Miss Dale.

Mrs McCrudden was painting with me.

I even have mud on my face!!

The P7’s from many schools, including us, as Duncow, Dunscore, Moniave, and many others, all went to Dumfries House for a residential trip full of activities and a sleepover. You stay there for 3 days and 2 nights. I didn’t want to stay for a sleepover so I came on the 2nd day. It was very fun and I got to do Textiles, where I hand stitched a design of a C for my name, Conor, and a 🙂 beside it. Then I did Archery, where I managed to hit a bullseye. Then we went on the Farm Tour and I got to see lots of Birds. I saw turkeys, chickens, geese, ducks, pigs, a horse, and lots of other animals.
