Mud!

Today in the woods I put my hand in mud. It felt chocolately!

I painted with my muddy hands.

I did a muddy hi – five with Miss Dale.

Mrs McCrudden was painting with me.

I even have mud on my face!!

The Residential Trip to Dumfries House

The P7’s from many schools, including us, as Duncow, Dunscore, Moniave, and many others, all went to Dumfries House for a residential trip full of activities and a sleepover. You stay there for 3 days and 2 nights. I didn’t want to stay for a sleepover so I came on the 2nd day. It was very fun and I got to do Textiles, where I hand stitched a design of a C for my name, Conor, and a 🙂 beside it. Then I did Archery, where I managed to hit a bullseye. Then we went on the Farm Tour and I got to see lots of Birds. I saw turkeys, chickens, geese, ducks, pigs, a horse, and lots of other animals.

Duncow Sprinting Success!

Huge shout out to all our sprint relay runners! We competed at David Keswick centre in the 4×100 sprint relay championship! Everyone ran their hearts out, with both teams beating personal bests, with clean passes and outstanding effort from all. Team A made it to the final and were an incredible 4th! Well done to all. We are super proud (as I think you can tell.)
Huge shout out to Active Schools for making this experience possible!

Something is Cooking in the Kitchen!

We are so thankful to our amazing family who raised £700 for our school by cycling as a family over 100 miles. We are delighted to buy cooking equipment which will allow us to develop our food technology in the school. We cannot wait to get started and for our new oven to arrive! Thank you so much for your effort and your generosity!
We were thrilled to get cooking on BIG Thursday! Mrs Miller got started and we learned how to make pancakes. We followed the recipe carefully and weighed and measured out the ingredients carefully – even learning to crack an egg! We held the frying pan tightly and got flipping our pancakes, looking out for the special bubbles so they would not burn! We loved them. (Mrs Miller even taught us to wash up after ourselves – the most important part she said!)
We are looking forward to next week – I think we’re making soup! Delicious!!
