Pupil Voice Groups 2025-2026

What an exciting day we have had. We all had an opportunity to talk together and think of new groups for this year and also keep ones that we thought were good!

We discussed ideas together and then we  voted as a whole school and  these are our amazing groups for this year!

We have:

  • Charity Cadets
  • Operation Safety Kids
  • Planet Savers (Eco)
  • Happy Helpers
  • Little J’s and Friends

Duncow Gala – what a Success!!!!

Storm Amy did not stop us!!!!!

Despite having to bring our gala inside, the children got right on it and planned the school so all the stalls and fun activities could still take place. From facepainting to ice-cream stand, all had their place.

The weather did not stop our amazing families and neighbour coming and generously spending all their pennies and pound (and lots of £10 too) – so so generous! Our stand -up Bingo was so much fun along with our Pirate Fun and treasure hunt!! Our quiz was also a brain teaser!

Our Talent Show was outstanding (well done to all who both participated and organised this!), and our Beat the Goalie was a challenge. People chose from crafts at our makers stall and also gifts and toys from our Mystery Market! What quality at Duncow!  Our very own magician, Dexter, P6 wowed the audience with his card tricks – leaving them truly speechless!

Our parent council worked tirelessly serving teas and coffees alongside a very prosperous raffle!

What a success – tremendous!!! Watch out for it next year – you do not want to miss it!

Our Christmas Show and Christmas Market will be up next – so watch this space!

Well done everyone!

Tomorrow you will hear highlights of the event,  from our news reporters!

The children  raised a total of £465.00!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful, to be used for school funds!

(Our parent council will let us know their amount soon)

Welcome Back Everyone! 2025-2026

Here we are!

What champions and what treasures! Everyone has settled well and working very hard! Here’s to a new year and what a year it is going to be!

We look forward to sharing all their hard work, reports and images of the adventures that await us! GO DUNCOW!!

We Did It!!!!

We Did It!!!! Well done P4-7!

Mrs Miller’s writers have achieved their goal and we are so happy! They have been working hard on their target to improve their punctuation and they achieved 100%!! We were then above our target line 6 times in a row and are now ready to add another target!

Our new focus is now ‘CONNECTIVES’ and we will be working on that next week!

We are so happy!

The Celts and Romans

Celts and Romans!

P4-7 have been working so hard learning all about the Celts! We enjoyed exploring about their life from 500BC – 43AD.  We even created our own roundhouses too!
The museum lent us an amazing artefact box from the Roman era. What fun we had predicting what the items were and then researching about their real function.  Some made us laugh – especially the ear wax cleaner! No one guessed that one right!
