Happiness in Nature – by Lydia P5

Happiness in Nature

Crunchy leaves falling off trees

Plants dying out, going on walks

Passing all the animals and saying hi

Little kids throwing leaves into the air

Through the trees you zoom

The sky slowly goes from dark to light

You can now hear the cows mooing and the sheep baaing

Horses, ponies and deer clip clopping around the fields

Birds flying to their nests

As the sun sets slowly, everything and everybody, gets into their beds, nests and burrows

Cozied up for bedtime

Good night!

Happiness in Nature

My name is Lewis. I am 9. I love animals, except rats or mice. I don’t like them because they eat sheep food and this is annoying for the farmers, and me at my house. That is why I have a cat.

I also like animal photography because you can capture unforgettable moments. I went a walk, and I saw a mother deer having a baby. I sat down I watched is. It was so fun watching new nature grow. After a wee while the baby deer was stuck, so I went out to help her.

A few months later, I went for a walk. I saw the same deer but there were millions of them. I was so happy. The baby deer was running towards me with joy

The next day I went to see if it was true. I also brought a few friends.

It was so fun because there were loads and loads of dear. It was so fun because we all started playing with the deer. I absolutely had a blast.  Two months ago, the baby deer with just coming out to his mum now. He is a grown adult and it’s starting to grow horns so I would say it’s a stag. It is a red deer.

Red deer are common in Dumfries and Galloway. There more than 100. I love red deer and I love nature!

Happiness in Nature

The spring sun is shining down on the world,

she is watching her children leap.

The children of nature, of life, of beauty,

Her cows, her hens, her sheep.

The farmer wakes up one sunny day,

And he walks down to the farm,

Not expecting baby lambs

To be lying in the barn

Not just farms are getting news

as many more have come,

for lurking in your garden hedge

may be a hoglet mum.

As spring melts into summer,

All the animals have grown

The trees have bloomed their flowers

The babies of their own.

The heat is rising rapidly

we’re all longing for some rain

So, when the downpour comes around

We’re dancing round again.

Autumn comes; so does a chill,

It’s time for hats and gloves,

The time for the trees to go to sleep

(this time, they really love)!

The forest children collecting food

For their long slumber too

They settle down in a nice cosy hole

And slink back out of view

As autumn shifts into longer nights

The temperature drops down low,

It’s colder than it ever was

It might just even snow.

The jolly time of year has come,

And there’s magic in the air

There’s something left for everyone,

 everything everywhere.

The cycle comes back round again

 and spring is starting now

That is happiness in nature

and it should give a bow.

Happiness in Nature

When I jogged into the beautiful green forest, I saw a little red squirrel running for some acorns. It disappeared in a flash. The green leaves looked like they were pulsing in the breeze and a butterfly landed on my arm, it seemed incredibly happy. There were snails all over the bark of the trees. Snakes where slithering all around me and birds were chirping singing their beautiful song.

There was a clear lake, reflecting the trees surrounding it. I could see fish in it, darting back and forth as a shaft of sunlight beamed through the trees. There were brown and green burrows all around for rabbits. A swan swam in the clear blue water. I walked in the lovely green grass, with creamy white snow drops, as all the flowers where blooming. There were so many animals.

There was a small stream full of large and small fish. I love natures gift it is the best gift ever.

A fox was having fun with its family. There were lots of insects in the woods. I went to the lake for drink of water. I needed food. I had to catch a fish. I made a fishing rod with raw material like wood and leaves. I made a fire to cook the fish (if I caught one). I had to set up camp. I found sticks on the ground and made a roof. I made four supports for the roof. I put it all together with basic physics.

A fox curled up in my arms when I went to sleep, it was adorable.

When I woke up I had to go slowly out of the forest, but to me, nature truly in my home.

Happiness in Nature

The sunset caught my eye

The colour contrast, so beautiful

The red, the orange, the yellow

Birds stopping to appreciate this gorgeous sight

 Every animal, every human, watching

From a tiny mouse to the magnificent deer

Everyone loves the sunset

You cannot miss the brightness

With the sea and land, they’re partnered together

As the sunset tried to hide behind the trees

From rock or snowy mountains to beaches and just through a window

 You always get beautiful results

No matter where you are in the world, you can see the sunset in all its glory

To people, sunsets are so calming

When the sunset goes, the magic goes too

Happiness In Nature

I was on a walk on a sunny afternoon.

As I looked, I saw a flower bloom.

It was white and small and had a little pink touch.

As the leaves fluttered around me, I could hear the birds chirp.

As I stood still, I felt a breeze of wind against me.

As I looked to my left, I saw rabbits playing in a shaft of light.

As I looked up to the sun, it shined brighter than the angels up in the sky

I walked and walked until I saw the shiny rocks.

As I continued to walk beside the shiny blue stream, my eyes lit up

With a flickering spark of excitement, I saw a butterfly beside.

A massive dandelion beside a tree that covered the little butterfly.

As I sat down in the grass, I could hear the bees buzzing as the sun started to set

I looked at the stream as it glowed under the sun.

This is nature, my happy place.

Happiness in Nature Poem by Annabelle P6

Happiness in Nature

I am your sea and you are my sand,

You are my sky and I am your land,

I am your fire and you are my frost,

I will keep loving you, no matter the cost.

I’ll love you when the sun is no longer,

And when you love me, I will never be sombre,

For you are my sky and I am your sea,

Whenever I am with you, I can always be me.

I am your earth and you are my trees,

You are my flowers and I am your bees,

I am your sun and you are my moon,

I hope I never have to leave too soon.

I’ll love you still, even when I’m away,

My love for you shall always stay,

For I am your fire and you are my frost,

If I stick by your side, I’ll never be lost.

You are my seabed and I am your waves,

I am your rocks and you are my caves,

You are my hill and I am your grass,

My love for you will never pass.

Happiness in Nature – My Thoughts by Finley P4

Happiness in Nature by Finley P4

A couple of days ago, I was going to the local community woods just a few paces away from my house. It is a dark wood, but when I got to the core of the woods, it is a magical place.

I live just a bit out of Annan my house is quite small, but I still love my house. There are lots of children playing in the beaming sunlight that was ever so slightly peeping through in the direct centre of the woods. There is lots of space to run about and have fun. I did bring some stuff to have fun with, and I brought lots of delicious snacks with me. I decided to share some stuff that I had with me but in the most fun way possible. You see I brought some quite random stuff with me such as a bamboo stick and a plate. The reason I brought these things was that I come here a lot and I know there is always other children playing here too.

There was about 23 people (that’s including the adults) so I said to everyone there hello everyone are we all having a nice time. Everyone shouted YES! I told them I would put on a show they looked really excited. I said I have lots of entertainment awaiting you so be prepared to watch the best show of your life. They all looked really exited all the adults smirked at me thinking a nine-year-old boy couldn’t put on a show, but I didn’t worry about it.

I started off with spinning a plate on the bamboo stick that we mentioned earlier it was spinning faster than the speed of light. The parents were starting to grow quite jealous of me. It looked like they wanted to be able to do that too, but it took me years to learn to do this. Then, it seemed the children had lost interest. I had to bring out the big guns. I got 126 juggling ball and started to juggle but the balls that I use light up whenever I touch it, they will light up in completely random order so it could flash in the order of the rainbow 18 times. When I finished the show, everyone gave me such a big round of applause. I thought there was an earthquake. All the adults apologised for ever doubting me and I felt happier than ever.

This really was my happiest place in nature!

Happiness in Nature

The birds squawking, the moon waving

As nature goes to sleep

The sun says hello and the moon says goodbye

This is a new day

I heard the birds singing as the sun rose up

I went for a wonderful nature walk

I saw a chunky red squirrel, defending itself eating its nuts

The sun reflecting off the trees

I can smell a stinky skunk as it scurries in the leaves

Its bright eyes were looking at the reflecting water of the stream

As I looked closer, I could see tiny fish moving in the deep blue

I love nature, it’s really fun to explore
