At Douglas Ewart High School we have been working towards our Bronze Award for the LBGTQ+ Charter. This journey has led to not only teachers but pupils developing their learning and understanding of LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion within the school.
We are proud to say that Douglas Ewart High School has created more opportunities and safe spaces for everyone to feel welcome in. Pupils have mentioned that they feel more confident in speaking up against any bullying or homophobic behaviour, it is great to see our school engaging in this!
We recently held a Diversity Day which saw pupils eager to show their support and pledge that they will stand up against bullying of any form, it was fantastic to see pupils dressed in bright colours!
