All apps in this catalogue have been tested to ensure they do not contain any adverts or require children’s personal data to use them. Below your will find links to the App Store page for each app to learn what it does and how to use it.  Additional information has also been provided where necessary to highlight important information, for example where apps must only be used under certain conditions.

Additionally, some apps are Free with the option to make in-app purchases. Often free apps contain limited features, this is usually to entice you to purchase a subscription to get the premium features.

Establishments can confidently use these apps as devices are not linked to an account that permits in-app purchases.

Adobe Express for EducationFreeFor safeguarding, this app must only be used when signed in with Glow credentials. Adobe Express is free through Glow, and all image/video content has protections applied to ensure children do not access anything inappropriate.  When not using the app this way, there is a risk children could view inappropriate content.
BBC iPlayer for KidsFreeWhen used in an ELC or Primary setting, to ensure children do not view anything inappropriate, the app must be registered as an account for Under 13s.

Seeing AIFreeSeeing AI is a talking camera that narrates the world around you. Originally designed for the blind, it is great for children to take a picture of or point the camera at text and have it read back to them. Tip – this app takes a bit of practice to get right.
