Pupil Equity Funding

Pupil Equity Funding is money that the Scottish Government is giving to schools to help them provide the best possible opportunities for children’s learning. In particular, it is there to help the school support children who experience barriers to learning and who might be falling behind or not getting the same chances in their education because their family is experiencing poverty or other financial difficulties. This money is given to schools as part of the Scottish Government’s Scottish Attainment Challenge.

Brownhall Primary has been awarded £17,280.

Caerlaverock has been awarded £4,320.

Dumfries and Galloway Council has been awarded £2.9 million.

The way in which the money is spent is not purely the decision of the Head Teacher, but all those involved. You will receive a questionnaire for you to have your say in how this money is spent.
