Auchencairn Viking hoard trip
P1-7 had a fantastic trip today to the Kirkcudbright Galleries to see the Viking hoard that had been discovered a few years ago near Balmaghie. There were lots of interesting replica artefacts for us to hold and guess what they could be. We also got to see the real artefacts in the displays downstairs and did a quiz! After that we had a chance to make our own Viking birds out of clay which we then got to take home.
We had a great time! Thank you to the Galleries for having us to visit.
