On Friday morning Leswalt and Kirkcolm’s upper classes visited the Baptist Church in Stranraer to learn about the true Story of Christmas with Owain and some of the church volunteers!✝️
We enjoyed chatting with Owain about our families Christmas traditions. Owain explained that a lot of the traditions we have in our houses are based on the Nativity story. Afterwards, we split up into groups and acted out parts of the Nativity story. We had donkeys, Mary, Joseph, 3 Kings!🤴🤴🤴
Then, we rotated around 4 fun Christmassy stations; colouring, wrapping, wreath decorating and our Christingles. Through our activities, we learned some really interesting facts about Christmas and the Nativity.
After we had finished all 4 activities, we got together to place a candle on the map of Stranraer to spread Christmas wishes to everybody! Huge thank to Owain and his lovely helpers for a fab and engaging session – as always!
