Today (24th April) we invited parents and friends to join us for a morning. We enjoyed showing them all of the things we do do in school – maths, language, science and lots more! At the end of the morning, we went to assembly and Mr McDowall handed out some ‘Pupil of The Day’ certificates to people who had worked really hard! Thank you to everyone who came, we hope you all had a great time!
This afternoon (28/03/14), P3/4 presented their class assembly to the school. They told us all about the water cycle and the importance of saving water. The professors told us lots of interesting facts!
P2/3 have been studying the World Religion of Buddhism during term 3. For their class assembly (21st March) they retold the story of Prince Siddgartha Guatama. The children sang All Things Bright and Beautiful and I Saw the Light from the film Tangled, which complimented the story really well. To finish off they performed a Bollywood style dance.
Last Friday (14th February), two teachers from Austin Friars in Carlisle came to assembly. They taught us all about water and the two gases that make it. We had lots of fun exploding balloons and making clouds. Some of us even got to take part!
A representative from the Co-op came into school to tell the Eco Group all about Fair Trade. We were all given a Fair Trade banana and bar of chocolate. Our friends were very jealous when we went back to class with those!
On Friday afternoon ( 7th March) P3 entertained us with their class assembly about the Egyptians. We were very impressed with all of the songs they learned and loved the guest camel!
World Book Day was Thursday 6th March. We celebrated by dressing up and taking part in special reading activities and games in class. Here is a photo of some of us dressed up in our costumes!
Last Friday (28th February), P7 presented their class assembly. They told us all about World Book Day and entertained us with a quiz where they acted out the scene from a book and we had to guess which story it was. We got all of the answers right!!
On Friday 14th February 2014, P5/6 presented their class assembly. They told us all of the things they had been learning about their topic ‘The Tudors’. We loved their song – it was very funny!
Primary 6 presented their class assembly on Friday 31st January. We found out about the topic they had been learning about which was ‘The Stuarts’. We were very impressed with their raps and acting skills!
