On Thursday, 19th June, we watched the Queen’s Baton Relay pass through Gretna. The baton took a while to arrive but we managed to make our own entertainment while we waited! Sandra Proudfoot carried the baton past our school, we sang the Commonwealth song and listened to some songs and stories performed by Tam Dean Burn!
On Friday 16th May, P7 took part in Jamie Oliver’s cook-along show and helped him to try and break a Guinness World Record. We had to watch the show and make a rainbow wrap. Some of us loved them; others were not so sure!
During term 2, P3 travelled to Walby Farm Park to find out about animals and the farm. We took pictures of some of the animals. Look at the piglets!
Primary Seven had lots of fun on their outdoor learning day. They learned how to light fires, create shelters and tie different knots. The sun was shining too – that helped a lot!!
Last term P1R visited the Fire station.
We have been studying Scottish Explorers as part of our recent topic. Our class trip was to Mabie Forest where we went exploring! It was a great day out, the sun shone for us and we had FUN!
Children from Gretna Nursery recently participated in a sponsored Lepra workout. This was to help raise funds towards the treatment of Leprosy.
As part of World Book Day, P5/6 visited the local library. The Librarian spoke to use about different genres of books and we discussed our favourite authors.
