The school recently celebrated Harvest time with a special assembly. Last year’s gardening club harvested the vegetables which they had planted in the Spring. These were then chopped and prepared by the Eco councillors for making into soup, which the whole school enjoyed eating.

P3B Open Afternoon
Visiting the mill with P3T!
Miss Thomson’s P3 class has enjoyed a trip to the local BSW sawmill to find out more about the work which hgoes into making forest products. The pupils saw the logs being delivered and were able to watch the entire process of the timber being fed through a series of machinery to creat a variety of products. It was clear that no part of the log was wasted!
P6B Open Afternoon
On Friday 12th October P6B had an extemely successful open afternoon themed around their topic on India.
Parents and friends were treated to an exhibition of Bollywood dancing as well as interesting facts about India and all its many colourful traditions, all presented in brilliant costumes. Then there was a chance to see all the pupils’ super work whilst sampling some very tasty Indian food!
Halloween
Everyone had a ‘spooky’ time at Dalbeattie Primary with lots of witches, ghosts and ghouls walking the corridor-are we haunted?
No-it was just a dressing up for Halloween day! Phew! That’s a relief!

The children had a great trip and enjoyed every moment-the staff even got some sleep!
The children were a credit to their parents behaving well and being well mannered. Well done!

Netball Tournament!
The girls came second in the Stewartry Netball Tournament, it was a close thing! The girls did very well and we are proud of them!
