Staff, pupils and parents were all invited, recently, to take part in workshops and meetings, led by Professor Stephen Heppell. The aim was to be inspired to think of ways to plan for an exciting new learning campus in Dalbeattie. Stephen Heppell is a world renowned leader in technology and educational design. His ideas and careful questioning engaged pupils, staff and parents alike into thinking about how best to plan for new schools which help our children learn to their full potential. The pupils, (who came from Dalbeattie Primary, Dalbeattie High School, Colvend, Kirkgunzeon, St Peters and Palnackie Primaries,) were particularly motivated to brainstorm their ideas using interesting writing surfaces. The event was a huge success and it has changed the way many of us are now approaching this important new development for Dalbeattie.
