The whole school enjoyed an online Pantomime on Thursday 18th December.
It was called Santa Live. We really enjoyed the songs, jokes and story.
Primary 1 have been busy counting the forward number sequence to 30. We have to
concentrate really hard to remember the number that comes after 29.
We have also been practising the backward number sequence from 10. We are really confident
with this and have now started practising counting back from 20. This is something we will work
on and by the Christmas holidays we will be much more confident when counting backwards.
Primary 7 have been busy decorating the school Christmas tree. They worked really well as a team
and the tree is looking fantastic – well done, Primary 7!
This week Primary 5-7 have been busy taking part in some festive talking and listening activities with Mrs McClymont. The children were given the challenge to make their own Elf Juice. They had to accurately measure out and add the different ingredients to their bottle, then design a label along with a catchy slogan to advertise their Elf Juice. Finally the children presented their juice to the class.
In class we have been exploring the religion Christianity and the true meaning of Christmas. After making our Christmas stories last week, today we carried out some research to find out what different Christmas objects symbolise to Christians at Christmas. It was very interesting to find out what the different items represented and enjoyed discussing what we found out.
We have been working very hard on our spelling this week. Each group
completed a different activity to practise their spelling words and common words.
