This week has been a busy one for all the children in school where we have found out lots about Robert Burns. On Tuesday 3 of our Primary 7 children (Abbie, Bobby and Caiden) represented the school at the Newton Stewart Inter Schools Burns Competition- we are delighted to announce that Caiden was the overall winner! Everyone tried really hard and as a result the judges had a really tricky job- they decided that all three schools would be joint winners and share the trophy this year.

We also had our class competitions where all the children had the chance to perform a Scots poem. This helps develop their Listening and Talking skills and allows us to choose a top 3 to represent the school at the Galloway Music Festival in March. Here are our class winners:
