The yellow RWInc group enjoyed making a model bird following the instructions in their reading book.

World Book Day
What great fun we had today! Thanks to all at home for helping with costumes- everyone looked great!
We started the day with a visit to Menzieshill Library, took part in a class book quiz back at school and enjoyed taking part in the school parade and seeing all the wonderful outfits. We even had a visit from a Minion!
We also enjoyed 3 stations: having fun with Miss Thomson looking for book clues in the playground and making bookmarks in class, enjoying Elmer activities with Mrs Oglesby; and taking part in Mary Poppins activities (making kites and flying them, and learning the supercalifrajalistic dance moves) with Mary Poppins (where was Mrs Taylor today?)
Earlier this week we enjoyed visitors, kindly arranged by Mrs Brankin who told us stories.
Thanks to all involved for making our learning so much fun!
School is fun!
We enter class each morning to a happy inspirational song. We have enjoyed modern and classical tunes and tunes from films. We start each day feeling happy!
Keeping fit with a champion
We enjoyed hearing about Louise Renwicks’ medal winning at the Commonwealth games and enjoyed the fitness session. We raised money for Tem GB and our school.Â
Bonjour P3!
Quel couleur|?
C’est bleu!
Combien?
Un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq.
Learning the 4 times tables is fun!
We played lots of games to practise the 4 times tables.
Circuits!
We learned that batteries carry a little electricity and learned how to make the light bulb light up!
We looked at what happens when a part of the circuit is missing.
Then we took the light bulb out of the circuit and added a buzzer.
We know that we may only investigate electricity in a supervised environment using tiny, tiny amounts of electricity found in batteries.
More energy fun!
We have been finding out where electricity comes from and how much energy appliances use.
We selected energy saving appliances “to buy”.
Bonjour!
Welcome to Elliot ( Ellie) the elephant who is teaching us French!
We have been learning how to say our names.
“Comment tu t’appelle?”
“Je m’appelle …..”
