Primary 7 Homework Challenge Winners
Today Mrs MacPhail judged the P7’s fantastic models they made for the homework challenge. It was a tough decision as they were all amazing! Congratulations to Luisa, Josh and Rachel for being voted the top three, they received a prize from Mrs Paton and everyone that took part received some chocolates from Mrs MacPhail.
Primary 7 – Author Visit
Today Primary 7 visited Menzieshill Library and had a visit from local author, Robert J. Harris. Robert spoke to the class about his books and some of the class acted out parts of one of them, well done! The class thoroughly enjoyed Robert’s visit and we are planning to read some of his books next term.
Primary 7 Homework Challenge
This term our IDL project focussed on researching the ways in which Christmas is celebrated in another country and for one of the homework tasks the children were asked to design and build a landmark/tourist attraction from the country they were researching. The children have designed and built some amazing models and tomorrow Mrs MacPhail will pick three winners. Well done to everyone!
Primary 7 – Christmas Crafts
Primary 7 have been busy today making some lovely Christmas cards and gift tags, they are very impressive! Well done!
Primary 7 – Well Done Connie!
Today we had a visit from Roxburghe House and Connie was presented with her winning design on a card. Connie designed a thank you card for Roxburghe House and her design was chosen by the patients. What an amazing achievement, well done Connie! Thank you to Roxburghe House for the gift voucher for Connie and the sweets for the rest of the class.
Primary 7 and Primary 1 Bookbug Event
Primary 7 were delighted to attend the BookBug Event with their buddies in Primary 1. They read the books together and then voted on their favourite book.
Primary 7 – Athletics Festival
Primary 7 attended an athletics festival held at Menzieshill Community Centre and took part in various events. Well done to everyone for taking part!
Primary 7 and Primary 1 BookBug
Primary 7 have been working with their buddies in Primary 1 to read the books shortlisted for this year’s BookBug event and working on different activities related to the books in preparation for the BookBug event.
Primary 7 – Badminton
Primary 7 have been learning the basics of badminton this term and have shown enthusiasm in every lesson! Each week we have focused on a different skill and finish up with a rally tournament, which can get very competitive!
