Good Morning Primary 6! 💚

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
We are now into our last week of term 4 and I cannot believe how quickly the year has  flown by.  This week there will be no blog posts as I am back in St Ninians to help prepare for August.  If you wish, feel free to catch up on any unfinished tasks from previous blog posts.

I would like to take this time to let you all know how lucky I feel to have had you as my first class.  It has been a whole year since I visited the school to meet you all and I have never looked back.  You are all so special and have bright futures ahead of you.  I want you all to give 100% in primary 7, so you can achieve all that you deserve.  Enjoy your summer holidays and get plenty rest before starting school in August. 💚

Take care of yourselves! 💚

Love,

Miss Rice 💚

Good Morning Primary 6! 😃💚

I am in the hub this week, so will only be posting once.  This post has a suggested activities to keep you going throughout the week.

Literacy

  1. Choose 6 RWI words (old or new),  have an adult or older sibling give you a spelling test.  For each of the 6 words I would like you to find the definition and one synonym.   Any incorrect words from your test, complete a spelling task from your spelling grid.  Re-set the test at the end of the week to highlight your progress.
  2. BBC Bitesize punctuation.  Click on the link to explore a range of punctuation.  Pick three types of punctuation that you would like to revise and try to incorporate them into sentences. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zvwwxnb
  3. Writing Task – Personal piece.  Can you write a reflective account on your journey in p6? Things you may want to consider are your achievements, challenges, next steps (what are your goals for P7)  and any other significant memory from over the year.    I would love, if you can, to share these with me as I would enjoy reading through them😍
  4. Reading challenge – Book review for Goodnight Mister Tom.   Record it similarly to this template.  You may choose to include less information and focus more on the key points of the story and recreating the front cover.

Maths – Try to focus on your mental maths. (Recall and accuracy)

Online websites-
