‘Yippee Yellow’ and ‘Pink for Think’

In p6 we are using a new feedback method in literacy for peer/self/teacher assessment.  ‘Yippee Yellow” highlights what stands out and is great in a piece of writing.

“Pink for think” highlights an area that the child needs to revisit and have a think about what change could be made.

Once p6 have changed their ‘pink for thinks’, they sign it to acknowledge they have made changes.  The great thing about this method is that in the next literacy piece they do, they can review previous feedback to ensure they don’t repeat similar mistakes.
