Today in numeracy we used an aerial map of the school and the surrounding area to find the coordinates of classrooms, the church and other buildings surrounding the school.

Girls football team
This evening the girls football team had their first training session of the new season. Lauren, Luisa, Jessica, Alexandria, Megan, Niamh,Taylor and Gabrielle from P5/6, Ruby and Nicola from P4/5 and Alix and Mollie from P7 ย all took part. We started training outside but when it started to rain Mr McCormack decided to move inside so his hair didn’t get wet.
Partner Work.
Today in P.E we worked with our partners to self and peer assess our tennis skills. We looked at our racket control, forehand, backhand and smash.

We have been developing our tennis skills in P.E. We have been developing our racket control as well as practising our forehand, backhand, slice and smash.

We have been writing letters in French to our pen pals in France. We told them all about ourselves and our families.
World Book Day ๐ ๐
Today as part of World Book Day we dressed up as our favourite book characters as well as taking part in literacy activities in class we also had some ย visitors, Moria Forster and Kiera from Dundee United ladies team, came in to visit us. At the end of the day we also had a visit from a special yellow friend! #iwomderwhoitis
Basketball Tournament ๐
Lauren, Megan, Alexandria, Gabrielle, Nacho, Zak, Niamh, Taylor and Lennon from Primary 5/6 and Nicola from Primary 4/5 took part in a basketball tournament at Menzieshill Community Centre. They put in an excellent performance against a much older and very strong team from Tayview.
