We have started a class challenge. Each time we achieve anew reading challenge we add a “book” to our class display.

This week we tried to identify words we knew in a book.

At the start of term we chose our targets. On Friday we made a class display showing these targets. It is just by our pegs so we can keep reminding ourselves of what we are trying to achieve.

We had fun dancing and playing games with our friends today.

Then we had a small snack in class.

Earlier the circles played a monster counting game , whilst the  triangles and squares had a bat themed addition activity to complete.

We practised learning the beat in tunes with lots of fun songs and activities that Mr McLean showed us.

Being a spider is such a lot of fun!

Last Friday we enjoyed making our own creations.

I might want to borrow this amazing make up  kit!

We have been learning about how important it is to listen. When we listen carefully we know what to do and can also learn new things. We cannot talk and listen at the same time, and need to take turns.

We played a game where we had to listen carefully to our partner who chose an item for us to colour and told us which colour to use. It was important to listen as our partner only gave the instruction once. Our partner then told us if we had listened well and followed the instruction.

Using the letter stories, this week we have practised r, n and m.

Many of us have these letters in our names. We are getting very good at writing our names neatly with letters formed correctly.
