It was so sunny today we decided to take a walk around the school grounds.
We saw lots of signs of Autumn , including these berries all ready for the birds to eat.
We had great fun today dancing with our friends from throughout the school.
All that practising was worthwhile!
We are very excited about dancing outside tomorrow to celebrate St. Andrew’s day.
We have practised the 3 dances and can’t wait to dance them with children from other classes.

We learned why the Advent wreath is a circle and why it is made from evergreen leaves.
We look forward to lighting candles in the countdown to Christmas , as we get ready for Christmas .

P2 are looking forward to sharing the huge amount of activities at home tonight.
We were very excited to continue using some of learning tools found in our bags. Today we played some games to practice working with a partner and developing our counting skills and knowledge of numbers.
We are looking forward to our sharing event next week and taking them home to play these games again.
Today Mr McLean brought in a guitar. We learned many interesting facts about what a guitar is made of, and how it is played. Max was able to tell us lots about the guitar too.We then had great fun singing the penguin song as Mr McLean played the tune on the guitar.
Today the squares group solved some word problems. They used a think map to help them and used tools such as beads, Numicon or rods to represent the problem ,then drew a picture to represent the same problem before arriving at a sum to solve the problem.
They were very proud of their work and so was Mrs Taylor😀
Well done children, we spoke about how we can use our numeracy skills all the time, not just in numeracy lessons.
The triangles group have been looking at numbers higher than 20.
