This term we have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We have completed a number of literacy and expressive arts activities. Today we invented sweets and wrote about the ingredients. We then gave them crazy and wonderful names. Then we painted them to look like giant lolly pops. We just wish we were able to really eat them!
We have had many visitors reading in classes this week to promote the importance of reading and to also celebrate World book day. The children love having stories read to them and today Mrs Foote, chair of the schools PTA read to P3.
Today P3 held a book sale as part of World book day activities which have been running this week. They collected the books, made posters to advertise the sale, set the sale up and very fantastic at selling the books. The sale was a huge success and managed to make Β£61! Well done P3 an amazing achievement and lots of fun π. We are going to use the money made to buy some new books for using during literacy time.
