Every day we walk or jog six times around our school. This makes one mile – our daily mile! Doing the daily mile not only keeps us fit and healthy outside, it helps us concentrate better when we are inside too! And it only takes 15 minutes!
Halloween
We have been very creative this week and we have decorated our classroom with bats and cats, pumpkins and ghosts…..all made by us! Happy Halloween everyone!
Estimating and counting.
We use Numicon to help us understand numbers in maths. When learning to estimate and then count, we had big collections of buttons to count. It was fun using the numicon shapes to check our answers. Making sets of ten helps a lot!
Chicken Pox!
Some of us in the yellow read write inc group are reading a book called ‘Off Sick’. We were thinking of reasons why you get sick and we wondered why it’s called Chicken Pox! Nadia went home and found out!
It’s because the spots you get look like a chicken has pecked you! Amazing!
Recorder
Did you know we are learning to play the recorder this year? Mr Sullivan is very proud of us. We are going to have a recorder orchestra!
The Flower and Food Festival
We had a fantastic day on Friday at the Flower and Food Festival. There was so much to see and do. We were very pleased to see that one of our entries had won first prize! £10 for us to spend!! We went to the playpark for a picnic and a play before we went back to school.
Thank you very very much to Cameron’s Mum for coming with us!
Marble Run
One of our favourite things in P3 is the Marble Run. We liked it so much Mrs Sim got us another one which we have turned into a water run!
Art
We are preparing our entries for the Food and Flower Festival.
Our class minus a few!
We all said ‘cheesey peas’ for Mrs Sim this morning!
Our first week in P3
We had our Back to School Week 2017 with lots of team building activities. We explored our new classroom and welcomed each other back to school.
We went out with magnetic goggly eyes and cameras to investigate the metals outside.
