Tuesday 2nd February 2021

Literacy:

Writing

Today we are going to learn to write a diary. Work through this Powerpoint to learn the features of diary writing:

Diary Writing

I have also made a video recording of this lesson:

Here is a PDF version if the above does not open:
Diary Writing

Feel free to watch this video to help if you’re still unsure:

Now, that seems like a LOT to remember doesn’t it? So please don’t worry and just try your best! Writing a diary is easier than it seems. Just give it a go. One step at a time and we will keep working on it.

Task
For your first diary entry, I would like you to write about a day in your life. You can write about today (or another week day) describing your home-learning experiences. For example, you can write about when you got up, what you had for breakfast, what happened during the daily check-in, your learning or absolutely anything! You can even write about something you did over the weekend. That’s completely up to you.

Here is the template:

Tuesday_Literacy_Writing

Remember full stops, capital letters and finger spaces!

We are very excited to read all about your day.

Numeracy:

Time

I have kept this lesson here for you to re-watch if you would like to remind yourself of our learning.

Video Lesson:

Use your knowledge of time to complete the worksheet below:

Tuesday_Maths_Time

Optional extra: Play the game below to test what you’ve learned!
Time Tools Game

Expressive Arts:

For art today we are going to design our own front covers for our class novel:

Health:

Bust your best moves with Just Dance

Daily Challenge:

Your challenge today should you accept it is to be helpful.
