What we have done so far
So far, we have looked at the overview of our topic, looked at 2D and 3D pixel art and we have created a minecraft display in our classroom. We hope to get going with the project properly soon!

First I planed my picture on paper then I started drawing the sun, birds, mountains, caves, rivers . I started to colour the sky and sun. I found the sun not easy because you can’t curve the sun you have to use the little squares to shape it. Over all I really enjoyed doing the pixels art it was really fun. For some of it it was hard. Next time I would not do it so complicated.

My pixelated picture, first I did my plan in my plan I did a backround picture I added animals and trees for it to look real. I think I could have inproved my pixelated picture better by making it more accurate it turned out really nice in the end when it was finished. I really enjoyed it and hope we do something like this again.

When we did the pixelated pictures we had to work on with drawing the nature place on squared paper. Before that we planned where to draw some trees, animals, hills, rivers and the lake on the squared paper. First I drew some hills, then rivers and a lake, then trees. Finally I drew some animals which I drew rabbit, wolf and bear. Then I thought the wolf was cruel so I changed the wolf to a pig. Then I got on with my squared paper. First I drew some dots so that I knew where to draw. Then I drew a river and lake. Then I drew the mountains and trees. They took me ages to draw them and colour them. Next I drew some grass on the ground and I drew sky, clouds and sun. Finally I drew the animals and birds. I thought it was hard but it was very fun and interesting.

First I planned my picture on A2 paper then I did it on squared paper. I put in a fox, rabbits, 3 hills, the sun, bridges birds and rivers. My picture was really good and pixelated like an old game. I got on really well I found it easy and fun to do. I felt really focused it was really colourful.

In P6/7 we have been making pixelated pictures of nature. My picture included 2 hills, a fox, trees and a rabbit. It was fun to plan the picture but hard to actually do it. Then I managed to make a decent picture.

When we did our pixelated pictures we had to work quite hard because the pictures had to look like they were not pixelated like computers look. When we were drawing you had to do one pixel at a time so it took ages. It had to be a natural scene so I put on the plan trees, hills, a cave, streams that lead into a river, the sun and an awesome piggy. then I put the same drawing on to squared paper and coloured it in. Altogether I found it really fun. Next time I would put more animals in though.

Last week we did the pixelated pictures. We first had to draw a plan (without boxes) so we had an idea of what we could do on our picture. Second, I drew the picture onto the squared paper (we had to stay inside the boxes). I drew: A sun, three mountains, a fox, two trees, abridge a river, and a few birds in the sky. I liked the way the sun was curved and just peeking out of the mountains. The bridge was the hardest bit (surprisingly not the fox) because actually making the shape was pretty hard but at the end it turned out alright (sort of). Back to the fox when I was doing it I just did it. It wasn’t that hard I guess (also this fox was behind a tree). After I coloured the whole thing (and drew the whole thing). I think I did well because I because it turned out alright and there were no mistakes. Maybe next time I will start with the mountains so I can draw the river coming down in stead of drawing the river upwards(which is much more harder). 🙂
