S3 Biology
Our S3 pupils will be continuing with the learning of some of the key topics in Unit 2 Multicellular Organisms. Teachers have developed learning packs so pupils can work through them whilst gaining access to teacher support during timetabled periods.

National 4/5 Biology
Pupils can browse this National 5 Biology e-Textbook.
Our N4/5 pupils will be working on their Scientific Literacy and problem-solving skills. There will also be an end of topic test through Microsoft Forms quiz for pupils to attempt which will assess the unit completed in December – “Unit 1 – Cell Biology”. This Forms quiz will not go towards formal evidence but it will help prepare pupils for the “prelim” assessment when we are back in school next month. Teachers will also make a start on teaching the first part of the last unit which is Unit 2 – Multicellular Organisms. Teachers will be available online during the timetabled periods.

National 5 Health Sector
Pupils will engage in work and research tasks for the unit we are currently working on (Unit 5 – Life Science Industry). This will help support pupils with their short assessments that need to be completed when they are back in school next month. These assessments carried out in class must be completed as part of the course portfolio. Teachers will be available online during the timetabled periods.

Higher Biology
Pupils will revise for their “Unit 1 – DNA and the Genome” assessment which will be sat by pupils online in the form of a Forms quiz. This will not go towards formal evidence but will support pupils for a future assessment in school. Pupils will also make a start on the last unit which is Unit 2 – Metabolism and Survival. Teachers will be available online during the timetabled periods.

Higher Human Biology
Pupils will revise for their “Unit 1 Human Cells” assessment which will be sat by pupils online in the form of a Forms quiz. This will not go towards formal evidence but will support pupils for a future assessment in school. Pupils will also make a start on the first of the topics of the last unit which is Unit 3 – Neurobiology. Teachers will be available online during the timetabled periods.
