The forecast is promising. If it’s sunny as expected, arrangements will be the same as last week – P1-3 morning (11am), P4-7 afternoon, children can wear sports clothes all day if they wish. Fingers and toes crossed………..
Celebration of Success
A very well done to all our certificate winners from today and thanks to all the family members who came along. Photos soon – Mrs Thompson was snapping away.
New School Newsletter
Attached is the first of what will be regular news bulletins regarding progress with the new building. Please read it carefully – there is important information about changed access to the school site from August. Also, we send congratulations to Loretta Mulholland, newly appointed Head Teacher for the merged Charleston/Lochee school with which we will be sharing the new building. We’ll start joint planning and working in August – exciting times ahead!

What a busy, busy week……..
The P5-7 show was fantastic – a big well done to all the children and staff and thanks to all who supported this event. Today’s Health Day was also a big success and we owe a big thanks to all the coaches and to Mr Brash and Mrs Donnelly for organising. Thanks, too, to Tayside Contracts and Radio Tay for the brilliant lunchtime disco. Some highlights from both events:
Show tickets still on sale.
The dress rehearsal today went really well – the show tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday will be fab. Some tickets are still left – get yours at the school office or on the door prior to the performances. Don’t forget to bring your camera if you want a wee bit of nostalgia before or after with a wee visit to Rooms 1-4 prior to their obliteration in July!
New Sports Date
Apologies for the postponement of Sports Day today – although it was dry overhead the field remained very wet and slippy and I didn’t want to take the risk of accidents (as well as have children sitting with wet feet for long periods).
Looking at our diary commitments and the forecast for this week, we’re going to try again next TUESDAY, 28th JUNE, with the same arrangements. If the weather again lets us down, I’m afraid we’ll need to call it quits and we’ll text first thing in the morning. If that happens, we could perhaps arrange something for after the holidays, although this would mean cutting off our current P7s.
Sports Postponed!
Apologies, but school sports have been postponed today due to last night’s heavy rain – the field is very wet and unsafe for this event. Watch this space for details of rearrangement.
