P5E – 27/9/19

Romans – We made Roman mosaics using different types of peas and beans. We had to challenge ourselves to make them symmetrical after focusing on symmetry last week in maths.

Maths – This week in maths we were learning about angles. We explored right angles, straight angels, obtuse angles, reflex angles and acute angles. We also used bee bots to give people directions using the four compass points and angles.

Art – This week with Mrs Barron we made Roman symmetrical vases.

Literacy – This week we continues our free writing, but we had to focus on adding exciting openers and adjectives to describe throughout our stories.

Quotes of the week

“We made very cool Roman mosaics that we made with peas and beans”

“This week we have been making Roman mosaics. In the Roman times they were made out of tiny little pieces of stone and glass and they were stuck to the floor”

“We did some animal mindfulness colouring, I liked it!”
