Code of Conduct

As part of our learning in Health and Wellbeing we have decided to establish our own P6B Code of Conduct. We looked at an example of a Code of Conduct and highlighted the key points that we thought we’d like to include in our version. It is still very much a work in progress but we are hoping to share it with you soon.

Here are some photos of us hard at work…

Welcome back!

Welcome back to our Blog after the Christmas holidays!

I hope you all had a lovely time over the festive period. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the lovely gifts I received at Christmas time.

We have been really busy since we came back to school preparing for our sharing of learning afternoon this Friday and we’re looking forward to seeing you all there.

We have also been making use of our improved class library area and have been revising multiplication and division…

Purple Wing Christmas Fayre

The first ever Redwell Purple Wing Christmas Fayre was a huge success! I was incredibly proud of how well the children worked to deadlines and how well they conducted themselves throughout the day. It was a very busy day and we were all glad of the rest when the Fayre finished at 3.30pm!

Here are a few pictures of them successfully running their businesses on the day…

Enterprise

The preparations for our Purple Wing Christmas Fayre are well underway and the children are taking their roles and responsibilities very seriously.

Here are some pictures of them checking their shopping lists:

Week ending 8th December

This week we have continued to work on Money in Maths. We’ve also been applying this learning to our business planning as we work hard to finalise the details for our Enterprise topic. This week we have been costing the items we need for our Christmas Faye stalls and calculating how much we can get for our £5 starting budget.

Look out for more information on this next week.

We have also been working hard on our social dancing with Mr Richardson. I was really impressed with the team work and concentration that I witnessed when I was invited along to watch them practising!

Sumdog Thursdays

We now have a timetabled Sumdog slot every Thursday morning before PE. This is a great way for us to apply our Numeracy and Maths learning in a fun and relaxed environment.

This time allows us to focus on our individual areas of development and Mrs Brown can set it so that we answer a range of questions based on our current Numeracy/Maths focus.

P6B look forward to this time all week!
