Hello everyone,
This week we have been really busy. We have learned three new sounds, learned how to use our number line in Maths and learned some new songs in Music. We know how to work out one more and one less on our number lines! The highlight of our week was when we went on a number hunt outside, we learned that numbers are everywhere and they tell us different things. We had a discussion about numbers in our house and were able to identify that we have numbers on clocks, cookers, our front doors and some of us even have numbers in our bedrooms! Numbers really are everywhere!
We have been learning about our school community and drew and painted pictures of people who help us in our school. There were some lovely paintings of Mrs Strang, Mrs McQuillan, Miss Fuller and Miss Stephens as well as others.
Next week we will have a number hunt in our school and figure out what the numbers in our school tell us about. We will also learn some more sounds, begin to read some books and learn about different jobs. We will also learn a song about Harvest as we have a special assembly next Friday.
Please check red folders for some beautiful Christmas cards that we have designed. You have the opportunity to have these lovely pictures made into read Christmas cards. Please return these by Friday 29th.
Have a great weekend everyone. Primary 1 deserve a long rest as they have been working extremely hard!
