P2 Trip

Just a little reminder that P2M and P2G will be going on their school trip to the 5 Sisters Zoo on Friday 10th June.

Please make sure that your child is dressed for the weather.  Your child will not need any money.

Sports Day

Primary 2M had a great time at our Sports Day.  It was very hot but we all tried our best and had great fun.

Before Sports Day, Sophie said “It doesn’t matter if you win, as long as you take part and have fun.  I love Sports Day!”

Here are some of the photographs from the day….

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears

As part of our Fairyland topic, we worked in small groups to re tell the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.  After deciding in our group who was to play each part, we rehearsed our ideas and finally performed in front of the rest of the class.  It was such a nice day, our “stage” was outside!

Rwanda

Miss Stephens and Mr Richardson are going to Rwanda in the summer holidays.  To help them on their trip our school held a casual clothes day so the Miss Stephens and Mr Richardson can take some resources to the schools in Rwanda and return to Redwell with some resources from their trip.  We can’t wait to hear all about this fantastic experience.

Don’t we look so smart in our casual clothes.

Ready Teddy Go!

P2 took part in a science workshop all about Forces called Ready Teddy Go! It was great fun and the boys and girls enjoyed taking part in all the fun activities.  To help us learn some of the science vocabulary such as pull, push, friction and gravity, we were taught actions to help us.

Fairyland – The story so far!

Something special has been going on in the Yellow Wing over the last few weeks.  A friendly dragon has been leaving the boys and girls letters and special gifts.  He has been a very sad dragon as his home, Fairyland doesn’t exist any more!  He has asked if we can help make it again and read more stories.

As you can imagine, the boys and girls have been very excited and wanted to help straight away.  We have been making castles, planting beanstalks, writing in our castle books and re telling some of the stories we have been reading.

Have a look at some of our Fairyland photographs.
