After reading Mr Tall and Mr Small as part of our Mr Men topic we have been learning about measuring in maths.
On Monday we were using metre sticks to measure objects in our shared area which were taller or shorter than one metre.
We found out that our lunchbox trolley is taller than 1 metre and our tables are shorter than 1 metre. We also know that we can write one metre as 1m.
Have a look at our measuring photos
Our next steps will be to measure using centimetres and we are going to measure how tall we are.
Everyone in the Yellow Wing have been learning about Playing Pete. Playing Pete reminds us that we have the right to play. We also have responsibilities and so we have been working on some targets.
These are:
- I can line up quietly and smartly
- I can use safe hands and feet
- I can share and wait my turn
- I can be a good friend
- I can be responsible
- I can look after equipment
Please help us to achieve these targets and look out for certificates in school bags in the next few weeks.
