The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch

Well before we tell you all about our amazing topic, we need to tell you about Red Nose Day. We had great fun! Everyone was dressed up and lots of people had funky hairstyles. We designed Red Noses, sang a song, learned about people less fortunate than us and raised lots of money………over 1000 pounds. We can’t wait until next year!

Right …..now on to the topic. We have been very busy making a lighthouse to put into the shared area. The other classes have been making Mr and Mrs Grinling’s house,  a rowing boat and pulley system. We all had a shot at sending the picnic basket up and down the wire. P2G have designed a seaside café and pizza is on the menu. We made the pizzas during the math lesson and as we are learning about Fractions, the pizza portions are sold in halves and quarters. They are amazing and are sold at a good price. At the weekend, Emily visited the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse and shared her experience with us. We even looked it up on the Internet.

We need to sign off now because the art teacher is giving us a chance to finish our picnic lunch displays. Speak to you all after the holidays. Have a great time!!
