Our focus book just now is ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’. We have enjoyed making stockings and writing letters to Santa. 🎅🏼🎄
Lots of maths fun this morning 🔢. We used numicon to solve addition and subtraction calculations, played snakes and ladders to practise counting and we ordered and identified coins. Some of us also began to look at multiplication by making arrays. 🌟
Our current focus book is Zog 🐉. After reading the story, the learners wrote about something Zog learned to do in school. They then worked in pairs to complete a comic strip of Zog. Lots of teamwork going on. 🌟
For this weeks No Bullying November task we thought about our senses.
We discussed what bullying can look like, feel like and sound like. We also read the story It’s Great to be Kind and discussed the importance of kindness. 🤍

This week we celebrated Book Week Scotland. The learners created their own front cover for their favourite book and we also enjoyed some quiet reading time. 📚📖
Phonics fun! Learners in P2/3 have enjoyed finding, making and reading words in different ways this week. They are all super stars 🌟
We were busy learning about Children In Need today. We started our day by joining Joe Wicks on his PE challenge and finished the day by icing pudsy cupcakes. 🧁
Today we learned about Diwali, the Festival of Lights. We created Rangoli patterns using different shapes and numicon. We also worked as a class to create one using chalk outside. ✨
Today we read the story ‘Sophie Sparks’ and designed her magic bow that she lost. We then worked as a team like Sophie did to see who could make the longest paper chain. We developed our problem solving and team work skills.
The boys and girls also had great fun in Loose Parts Play! 🤩
